Effect of Mannitol on Kidney Function After Kidney Transplantation: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
نویسندگان
چکیده
The effect of mannitol usage during kidney donation and transplantation is still unclear. Therefore, we performed a systematic review meta-analysis to research the difference in graft function between grafts treated with without mannitol. A literature search was 5 databases included 8 eligible studies out 3570 references, which were up July 12, 2021. Relevant outcomes for analysis survival, rejection, acute renal failure, delayed function, creatinine clearance, diuresis, serum creatinine. Eight identified, 1 study examining 7 transplantation, 6 meta-analysis. total 1143 patients these studies. following outcome measures demonstrated significant differences favor compared control group: failure (risk ratio [RR], 0.45; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.26–0.79; P < .01]) (RR, 0.25; CI, 0.08–0.77; = 0.02 RR, 0.69; 0.51–0.94; 0.94). Differences other parameters not significant. This suggested that use leads lower incidence function. For all outcomes, no found. Further should be conducted on donor nephrectomy because limited availability Finally, interpretation quality evidence taken into consideration emphasize need more up-to-date research.

متن کاملReduction of Arterial Stiffness After Kidney Transplantation: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis
BACKGROUND End-stage kidney disease is associated with increased arterial stiffness. Although correction of uremia by kidney transplantation (KTx) could improve arterial stiffness, results from clinical studies are unclear partly due to small sample sizes. METHOD AND RESULTS We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of before-after design studies performed in adult KTx patients with ...

BACKGROUND The effects of mannitol administration on acute kidney injury (AKI) prevention remain uncertain, as the results from clinical studies were conflicting. Due to the lack of strong evidence, the KDIGO Guideline for AKI did not propose completely evidence-based recommendations on this issue. METHODS We searched PubMed, EMBASE, clinicaltrials.gov and Cochrane Controlled Trials Register....
